Inkpass privacy policy
Inkpass has no accounts and no servers that store your data. Your album lives on your iPhone and, if iCloud is on, in your private iCloud. Links you share carry only countries and an optional name. The app contains no analytics or advertising code. Last updated 10 October 2026.
Who is responsible for your data?
The developer of Inkpass is responsible for this policy. Inkpass has no account and no server of its own, so the developer does not receive your album, notes or location.
What stays on your iPhone?
Your stamps, statuses (Been, Lived, Want to go), years, visit dates, notes, regions, cities, saved friends' maps, crews and settings are stored on the device. An optional home country, used only for the furthest-from-home figure, and your card name also stay there.
If iCloud is enabled for Inkpass, a copy is mirrored to your own iCloud key-value storage so you can restore on a new phone. Apple stores it in your account and we cannot see it.
What about location and photos?
Location is requested only while the app is in use and only when you tap Stamp where I am. It is read once, matched to a country on the phone with built-in maps, and not stored or sent.
Find in photos uses the system photo picker. Inkpass reads the place and date only from photos you choose, on the phone, and has no access to the rest of your library. Save image asks for add-only access to Photos, so cards can be saved. The app cannot read your library.
What do shared links contain?
Overlap, Crew and Backup links put their data after the # in the address, called the fragment. Browsers do not send the fragment to any server. An Overlap or Crew link holds which countries you have been to and the name you typed, up to 16 characters. It never holds your Want to go list, years, notes or location.
A Backup link contains your whole album. Anyone who has it can read it, so keep it private. The comparison web pages run in the browser and keep a friend's picks only in that browser's local storage.
What happens with purchases?
Purchases are processed by Apple. Inkpass uses a third-party billing service, to validate them and to know whether Pro is active. The billing service receives an anonymous app user ID and your App Store purchase history and keeps them under its own privacy policy. It is not linked to your identity and not used for tracking. The app's privacy manifest declares purchase history as collected for app functionality, not linked to you, not used for tracking.
What does Inkpass not do?
There is no sign-in. The app has no analytics or crash-reporting SDK, shows no ads, does not track you across apps or websites and sells no data. The comparison pages set no cookies.
- Optional local notifications (weekly throwbacks, the December recap, a trial reminder you turn on) are scheduled on your device. No push server is used.
- Inkpass is not directed at children and collects no personal data.
How do I delete my data?
Open Me, Settings, then Delete all data. It removes everything from your iPhone and your iCloud copy. There is no server copy to delete. Your subscription stays with your Apple ID: manage or cancel it in iPhone Settings under Subscriptions.
Where does the map data come from?
Map data is from Natural Earth (public domain). Cities are from GeoNames (CC BY 4.0). Visitor numbers are from World Bank Open Data (CC BY 4.0). These datasets are bundled in the app, so using them sends nothing anywhere. Questions go to the address at the end of this page, and a changed policy will show a new date.
Your choices, deletion and contact

- To ask what data we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it, email support@dziby.com. We answer within 30 days.
- The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
- If this policy changes, we update this page and the date below before the change takes effect.
